Yoru uses account storage and browser storage to keep your anime library available. Advertising helps support the site. Privacy controls let you manage optional advertising cookies and tracking.
Your account and library
When you create an account, Yoru stores your email address, username and a password hash, together with the watchlist, viewing progress and audio preferences you save. Account saves are linked to your account. Signing out does not delete them. Comments and their usernames are public; marking a comment as a spoiler hides its text until a viewer chooses to reveal it.
Cookies and browser storage
Necessary session cookies keep you signed in. Browser storage retains a copy of your library and progress, and a small recovery cookie supports that backup. Clearing browser data removes local copies but does not delete account saves. Your advertising choice is stored for up to 180 days in a cookie and browser storage.
Advertising
Advertising is enabled by default for U.S. visitors who have not opted out. In other or undetermined regions, the ads wait for your permission. Adsterra and its advertising partners can display banners and popunder ads, which may open an advertiser’s page in another tab or window when you interact with the site. These providers may collect your IP address, device and browser details, identifiers, pages visited and interactions, and use cookies or similar technologies for personalization, measurement and fraud prevention.
Read Adsterra’s privacy policy for its processing practices and privacy contacts. Adsterra controls the ads it serves and their frequency. Advertiser destinations have their own privacy practices.
Choose to manage advertising cookies and tracking. Opting out stops Yoru’s Adsterra scripts. Withdrawing permission reloads the page to stop previously loaded ad scripts. It does not erase information already collected by third parties; you can also clear site data through your browser. Yoru honors a browser’s Global Privacy Control by disabling its optional advertising.
External services
Yoru uses hosting and database services to operate the site, and external catalog, image and video providers to display anime information and playback. Those services receive the network information needed to deliver their content, such as IP addresses. External video players may have their own advertising, cookies and privacy controls; Yoru’s advertising choice controls the ads Yoru adds, not those inside a third-party player.
Your choices
You can remove titles from your watchlist, delete your own comments, sign out, clear browser backups and change your advertising choice. Use the account page for account and recovery controls. Avoid putting private information into public comments.
